Our baby boy turned 3 on September 4th. It is so hard to believe that it has been 3 years since he came into this world. He is such a joy. Words will never express how much Eric and I love him. He seems so grown up now. You can pretty much carry on a conversation with him about anything...sometimes we forget, he's barely 3! He has been looking forward to his birthday for several months. I made the mistake of talking to him about it and planning ahead. Every party we went to he talked about his firetruck birthday and asked when it would be. He also said that he wanted a motorcycle every time we talked about it. I had to tell him that he wasn't old enough...even if Daddy doesn't think so. haha. As the planning began Eric had talked to the mayor in Colleyville. He owns a firetruck and said he could bring it to the party. However, the morning of the party he called and apologized...he had to attend a funeral. We totally understood and we are thankful that he had planned to come. Fortunately we didn't tell anyone that was what our plan was. The party still turned out to be great! We had his party at the park. The weather actually cooperated and was not too blistering hot. A "cool" front had come in and kept it under 100 degrees. I think we counted 45 people to be there, that is children and adults. We are so blessed with great friends and family. Here are a few photos from his party. Enjoy!
