Boo at the Zoo

Last Thursday evening we took Collin to Boo at the Zoo in Fort Worth. We had such a great time. We got there around the time that it opened and traffic was not bad, we got parked and got right in with no waiting! That in itself made us happy before we got started. We went in and Collin was not sure about the smoke that was shooting across the path, but once we got passed that he was okay. They handed us treat bags and we got to go to the treat stations and get candy. Collin was pumped up about that! He would see the treat stations and go running towards them. We walked around and there were so many attractions. We came across a show that they were doing and ran into Collin's friend Harrison and his parents. We were in the back while the actors were pulling kiddos up on stage and Collin recognized Harrison. We went to say Hi and when the show was over Frankie, Frankenstein came down to say Hello. He sat with Collin and Harrison and took some pictures. Then I noticed Collin was talking to Frankie, but Frankie couldn't understand what he was saying. I leaned in and heard CC asking him where the elephants were. It was hilarious. We had to find the tigers and elephants. Collin was dressed up like a tiger, so we really wanted to find them. However, due to the animals bedtimes we were not able to get to the tigers. It's okay though, we found the elephants!! Collin played some games and did really well. He enjoyed picking out his prize after each game. There was a whole toddler area just for kids his age. So cute!! Some of the girls working in the area asked to take a picture with CC. They thought he was adorable. We wanted to ride the train, but it broke down before we could get on it. Collin kept telling everyone that "the train was broke, but Daddy will fix it." I thought that was so sweet. At the end of the night one of the treat stations filled his bag full with candy, he was so excited. He wanted to carry it and Eric and I were worried because it was so heavy. We could just imagine candy everywhere, but CC had a grip on it and we made it to the car. As we walked to the car Eric was carrying CC. Eric and I were talking about how much fun it had been and Collin chimed in with, "I loved it". That made it all worth it :) Here are some pics from the fun night. We have some more Fall events this week: Our church's Fall Festival tomorrow night, Pumpkin Patches on Wed and Thurs, and Collin's school is having a party and costume parade on Thurs morning. We will probably go to our city hoot-n-howl on Halloween night. We are having a fun Fall!!

How fun! That is so cute that Collin is a tiger and Harrison is a lion!
