18 month check up

Collin is now 18 months old! Today was his well visit and it went very well. The doctor was amazed by his word count and short phrases. He said that Collin was beyond his expectations for his age. Of course we are very proud :) His weight is 24.6 which puts him in the 40th percentile. He only gained 1 pound since his 15 month check up, however, he was in the 100th percentile at 2 months. He has grown taller and is now 33 and 3/4 inches...up from 31.5 three months ago. That places him in the 80th percentile for his height! I knew he outgrew his pants and his shoes too. He eats all day long and only has one speed...fast and furious.

Last weekend Eric and I attended the Colleyville Women's Club fashion show...it was a lot of fun. We have gotten to be there for the past 4 years. Usually Eric is a distinguished gentleman for the event, but this year they changed it up and he got to actually sit with me and enjoy the evening. It was a lot of fun and a good night out. Collin got to spend the day with his Gran, Big Dog, Monte (now known as Mimi) and Randy. When we got home he was crashed out, but the following day we got to hear all of his new words: he lifts his arms up and says "Amen" and he started saying "Daddy-o". In that one day he also started calling Monte, Mimi. Too cute! For whatever reason he still will not say Gran or Gramma.

The day before the fashion show Eric got to go on his first hunting excursion. He had a wonderful time. He went quail hunting and shot about 7. Not bad for his first time. He went with the other store directors in the DFW area.
